Job Title: Paraplanner

Location: Shillington (Hybrid) 
Salary: £40k – £45k

Are you an experienced Paraplanner with exceptional interpersonal skills and a background in the IFA and/or wealth management sector? Are you a highly organized and confident individual comfortable using templated Suitability Letters and dealing with third parties, working with total discretion?

Renowned for its stellar reputation and esteemed client portfolio, this continually growing enterprise is seeking a proficient and composed Paraplanner. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Principal Partner to craft and deliver tailor-made financial planning solutions, ensuring an unparalleled service experience for our valued clientele.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing the highest level of support to the Principal Partner and other Advisers within the Practice at all times.
  • Maintaining professional, accurate, and compliant records.
  • Supporting and advising clients on financial strategies, plans, and products.
  • Communicating directly with the Practice Owners’ clients, preparing for all meetings, as well as meeting with clients where appropriate.
  • Staying abreast of legislative changes and other regulatory issues, taking necessary action as required.
  • Supporting the Senior Paraplanner in preparing client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews, and producing supporting reports, asset and IHT summaries, discussion documents, and computer models.
  • Completing Critical Yield Calculations and illustrations for replacement business.
  • Submitting replacement cases to business assurance for pre-approval, including creating the advice set and dealing with feedback once received.
  • Managing all post-approval cases and feedback

Skills and experience:

  • Previous paraplanning experience within an IFA or Wealth Management environment; 
  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma PFS qualified or working towards it (or FPC qualified with significant industry experience); 
  • Chartered Financial Planner status (preferred); 
  • Familiar with all major research systems (e.g. Analytics and Opal) 
  • Experience in Inheritance Tax and Trusts 
  • Experience of the Pension Transfer market. [Whilst a knowledge of Final Salary Pension Transfer market would be desirable, it is not essential]. 
  • Experience of the administration of IHT and/or Investment products; 
  • Demonstrates up to date knowledge of relevant regulation and legislation; 
  • Experience of managing workflow, systems and procedures
